The best email verifier for you depends mostly on how many addresses you check and how often, because the tools agree on method and disagree on price. Checking 10,000 addresses costs $39 with the cheapest service we tested and $129 with the most expensive, and the free allowances range from a single top-up to a monthly refill.
These are seven verifiers ordered from cheapest per check to most complete. We read every price on the vendor’s own pricing page in US dollars on 25 September 2026 and captured the pages at the same time.

1. MillionVerifier: The Lowest Price at Every Volume

Free: 100 · 10,000 checks: $39 · Smallest purchase: 10,000 for $39
At $39 for 10,000 checks, $89 for 50,000 and $449 for a million, MillionVerifier undercuts everything else here. Credits never expire, catch-all checks are included at no extra cost, and new accounts start with 100 free credits.
It refunds addresses it can only mark as risky and backs purchases with a money-back guarantee. You get list cleaning, an API, more than 40 integrations and EverClean, which re-checks new subscribers in your email platform daily; inbox-placement testing is not among its services.
2. Bouncer: Cheapest Way to Clean a Small List

Free: 100 · 10,000 checks: $60 · Smallest purchase: 1,000 for $8
If you only need to check a few hundred addresses now and then, Bouncer lets you buy 1,000 credits for $8. Larger packs cost $35 for 5,000, $60 for 10,000 and $400 for 100,000, and none of them expire.
Bouncer skips charges for duplicates and unknown results and accepts several currencies. A separate deliverability kit starts at $25 a month if you later want inbox placement and blocklist tests.
3. Emailable: 250 Free Checks to Start

Free: 250 · 10,000 checks: $60 · Smallest purchase: 5,000 for $38
Emailable opens with 250 free credits, more than any other one-off offer here. The smallest paid pack is 5,000 credits for $38, and 10,000 cost $60 on pay as you go or $51 a month on a plan.
Credits never expire, duplicates and unknowns are refunded, and Emailable says a 10,000-address list usually finishes in under three minutes. It takes cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
4. ZeroBounce: Free Credits That Refill Every Month

Free: 100 every month · 10,000 checks: $129 · Smallest purchase: 2,000 for $39
ZeroBounce costs the most per check, $129 for 10,000 on pay as you go, but its free plan tops up with 100 validations every month. That alone makes it the best choice for anyone who only verifies new signups in small batches.
The paid ZeroBounce ONE plan starts at $99 a month for 10,000 credits and adds warmup, inbox tests, blacklist and DMARC monitoring. ZeroBounce guarantees 99.6% accuracy and does not charge for unknown results.
5. Kickbox: Clear Pricing and SOC II Certification

Free: 100 · 10,000 checks: $70 · Smallest purchase: 500 for $5
Kickbox prints every price on one table: 100 verifications free, $10 for 1,000, $25 for 2,500, $70 for 10,000, $150 for 25,000 and $2,999 for a million. Unknown results are refunded as credits you can reuse.
Kickbox is GDPR-compliant and SOC II certified, with teams in the US and EU, which is often the deciding factor for businesses that need vendor security reviews.
6. NeverBounce: Verification That Runs Itself

Free: Free test credits · 10,000 checks: $49 a month (Growth plan) · Smallest purchase: 1,000 for $8
NeverBounce is built for automation. Its $49-a-month Growth plan covers up to 10,000 verifications and syncs with your CRM so new contacts are cleaned as they arrive. Pay-as-you-go credits cost $8 per 1,000 but expire after 12 months.
Owned by ZoomInfo, it integrates with more than 80 tools including HubSpot, Mailchimp, Zapier and n8n, and corrects common domain typos. For more on ZoomInfo’s wider data products, see our ZoomInfo alternatives comparison.
7. Hunter: Best When You Also Need to Find Emails

Free: 100 checks a month · 10,000 checks: $104 a month (Growth, billed yearly) · Smallest purchase: Starter, $34 a month billed yearly
Hunter sells credits that cover finding and verifying addresses. A verification costs half a credit, so the free plan’s 50 credits a month handle 100 checks, and Starter at $34 a month billed yearly ($49 monthly) handles 4,000. Growth, at $104 a month billed yearly, raises that to 10,000 credits, or 20,000 checks, a month.
Unknown results are free, disposable addresses are skipped, and a no-signup checker on Hunter’s site verifies single addresses. It suits sales teams more than marketers cleaning large lists.
What an Email Verifier Actually Checks
Behind the dashboards, verifiers test each address in stages: the format, whether the domain has mail servers, and whether the receiving server confirms the mailbox exists, all without sending a message. They also flag disposable, role-based and spam-trap addresses.
Some addresses cannot be confirmed either way, usually on catch-all domains that accept everything. Most tools here return those as unknown and do not charge for them, which is worth checking before you compare prices.
How to Pick an Email Verifier by List Size
Because prices fall at different rates, the cheapest tool changes with the size of your list:
- Under 250 addresses: use a free allowance. Emailable’s 250 credits or ZeroBounce’s 100 a month will cover it.
- A few thousand, now and then: Bouncer at $8 for 1,000 or $35 for 5,000, or Kickbox at $10 for 1,000 and $40 for 5,000.
- Around 10,000: MillionVerifier at $39, then Bouncer and Emailable at $60 and Kickbox at $70.
- A million or more: MillionVerifier at $449, against $2,000 at Bouncer and $2,999 at Kickbox.
If you verify every week as new contacts arrive, a subscription can beat buying packs. NeverBounce’s Growth plan and Emailable’s monthly option both cover 10,000 checks for about $50 a month.
Credit Expiry and Refunds Compared
Two tools can charge the same headline price and still cost different amounts. Credits from MillionVerifier, Emailable and Bouncer never expire, so a large pack is safe to buy. NeverBounce pay-as-you-go credits expire 12 months after purchase, and ZeroBounce credits never expire only while you hold its ONE subscription.
Refunds matter just as much on an old list. ZeroBounce, Emailable, Bouncer, Kickbox and Hunter do not charge for unknown results, Emailable and Bouncer also skip duplicates, and MillionVerifier refunds addresses it can only rate as risky.
Free Email Verifier Options
If you only need a handful of checks, you may not need to pay at all:
- ZeroBounce: 100 validations every month on the free plan.
- Hunter: 100 verifications a month, plus a single-address checker with no signup.
- Emailable: 250 credits once.
- Kickbox, Bouncer and MillionVerifier: 100 credits once.
Clean the list before importing it into an email client too; our Outlook alternatives guide covers clients that handle big contact lists.
Which Email Verifier to Choose
Choose MillionVerifier if price is what matters: it was the cheapest at every volume we checked. Choose Bouncer for small, occasional lists, and Emailable if you want the biggest free allowance before paying.
