Looking for mm2 codes? None are working, and none have been for a long time. Murder Mystery 2 still has the code box sitting in its inventory panel, but nothing has been issued into it for years and every code the game ever ran has been switched off.
What follows is the complete retired list with the exact knife or pet each code unlocked. Every one of those items is still in circulation, and the code behind it is the reason it is scarce.

Seventeen codes, sixteen knives and one pet, and not one still redeems. They are listed with their items because that is the part worth knowing: each knife is still in the trading economy, and the code behind it explains the scarcity.
How to Redeem MM2 Codes
- Open Murder Mystery 2 on Roblox and wait until you are in a lobby rather than a round.
- Click the Inventory button on the left side of the screen.
- Find the code box inside the inventory panel and type the code into it.
- Press Redeem to claim whatever the code holds.
Those steps are worth knowing because the panel is where any future code would go, but nothing has been issued into it for years, so there is currently nothing that will be accepted.
The Stories Behind the Dead Knives
Five of the retired knives are named after members of The Pals, the Roblox YouTube group whose videos drove much of the game early on. They went out through those channels rather than through the game, which is why they read like a list of usernames.
One is named after a Twitch series Roblox staff ran between 2014 and 2016. Another ran for a single Halloween and is still the only pet the game has given away through a code.
The one genuine rarity is the uncommon knife at the top of the list. Every other code item is common, which makes it the only code reward sitting above that tier, and it is priced accordingly whenever one is traded.
What Is Murder Mystery 2?
Murder Mystery 2 is the murder and deduction game that has sat near the top of Roblox for over a decade: one player is the murderer, one is the sheriff, and everybody else has to work out which is which before they are eliminated.
It is made by Nikilis and opened on 18 January 2014. As of 6 October 2026 it had 31 billion visits and 24.3 million favorites, with roughly 104.9 thousand people in a round at once, numbers almost nothing else on the platform can match.
Where to Find New MM2 Codes
Codes are handed out through the developer’s own social accounts rather than in the game, and the Roblox description says as much: follow and subscribe for free knife codes. There is no feed inside the game that will tell you.
In practice the knives now move by trading rather than by code. Every item on the retired list is still tradeable, so the realistic route to any of them is the trading system, not a code box.
