Fortnite x Spider-Man Brand New Day Lands July 30, Web Shooters Included

Epic Games is tying its next major Fortnite drop to Marvel’s newest film, and for longtime players the headline is simple: the Web Shooters are coming back.

The collaboration goes live on July 30, 2026, at 4 AM ET, timed to the worldwide release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. It arrives with patch v41.30, and players should expect the usual overnight server downtime before the content appears.

What Epic has confirmed

On July 28, two days ahead of launch, Epic revealed the first concrete details in a trailer fronted by Tom Holland himself. Three skins are part of the drop, including a movie-accurate Spider-Man outfit and a debut appearance from the Punisher. A Hulk skin, widely rumoured beforehand, did not appear.

The bigger draw is the return of the Mythic Web Shooters, the mobility item that debuted in Chapter 3 Season 1 and remains one of the most fondly remembered additions in the game’s history. Epic is pairing the return with a limited Power Hour event offering unlimited Web Shooter usage. Reporting on the exact timing differs, with some outlets listing August 1 and others July 31, so players should confirm the schedule in game.

Map changes

The Battlewoods point of interest has been redressed as the event hub, covered in webs and murals. One mural, added in the v41.20 update, shows the hero squaring off against a member of The Hand, the criminal organisation featured in the film. The setup echoes the old Daily Bugle area from the original crossover, where players hunted down Spider-Man’s backpack to claim the Web Shooters.

Still unclear

A leaked Spider-Man Sprite, datamined and believed to enable proper web-swinging traversal, was absent from the trailer. Whether Epic is holding it back as a surprise or has shelved it entirely remains unknown. Pricing has not been announced either, though comparable licensed outfits typically land between 1,500 and 2,000 V-Bucks, with full bundles costing more.
