Roblox has millions of experiences and almost none of them are built for a group. The ones that are tend to share a shape: a server small enough that you are all in the same room, a job that splits between players, and a reason to talk. The twelve below are the ones that hold up when four of you join a voice call and want something to do for an hour.
They are ranked on live concurrent players rather than opinion, measured from Roblox’s own game data on 2 October 2026. A busy game matters more than usual here, because an empty server is the one thing that kills a group night faster than a bad game. Player counts move constantly, so treat the figures as a snapshot of the pecking order rather than a scoreboard.

The twelve, ranked by live players
Group size is the column worth reading twice. Several of these are excellent with exactly the right number of people and tedious with the wrong number, and that is more useful to know in advance than any rating.
| # | Game | What it is | Group size that works | Playing now | Rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Brookhaven RP | Roleplay town | Any number up to 30 | 434,580 | 85.9% |
| 2 | Dandy’s World [ALPHA] | Co-op survival horror | Best at 4 to 8 | 363,654 | 86.9% |
| 3 | Murder Mystery 2 | Social deduction | Needs 6 or more | 235,570 | 90.8% |
| 4 | 99 Nights in the Forest | Survival crafting | Best at 3 to 5 | 147,228 | 90.5% |
| 5 | DOORS | Co-op horror | Best at 3 or 4 | 118,529 | 93.0% |
| 6 | Forsaken | Asymmetric survival | Needs 9 for a full round | 56,108 | 84.4% |
| 7 | BedWars | Team PvP | Best in a squad of 4 | 28,660 | 82.3% |
| 8 | Flee the Facility | Hide and seek | Exactly 5 | 27,263 | 92.1% |
| 9 | Evade | Chase and evade | Best at 4 to 8 | 26,996 | 93.9% |
| 10 | Tower Defense Simulator | Co-op tower defence | Best at 4 | 16,836 | 94.1% |
| 11 | Build A Boat For Treasure | Build and race | Best at 2 to 6 | 14,817 | 93.4% |
| 12 | 3008 | Open-world survival | Best at 3 to 8 | 8,514 | 91.7% |
The counts come from the live figures attached to each experience, taken at 2026-10-02 20:49 UTC. Roblox publishes the same numbers on its charts page, which is the place to check before a session if you want to see what has moved since.
If you want to hang out rather than compete
Brookhaven RP is the default for a reason. It is a town with cars, houses and jobs, no objective, and room for thirty people in a server, which makes it the closest thing Roblox has to a park bench. 434,580 people were in it when we checked, and it has taken 88.2B visits since it launched in 2020.
- Brookhaven RP works with any number of friends because nothing needs balancing.
- Build A Boat For Treasure suits two to six, since one boat takes several builders and the failure is funny rather than annoying.
- 3008 is the one for a group that wants a long project, because a base built over several sessions is the point.
- Murder Mystery 2 is the switch-on-and-talk option, and at 235,570 concurrent players it never waits for a lobby.
The quiet advantage of this category is that nobody has to be good. A friend who has never opened Roblox can join Brookhaven and be useful immediately, which is not true of anything with a skill curve. If you are introducing somebody to the platform, start here rather than with a shooter.
If you want to survive something together
Co-op horror is where Roblox is strongest with a small group, and the design pattern repeats: everyone can be downed, anyone can revive, so the game is really about not abandoning each other. Three or four players is the sweet spot for most of them.

- DOORS is the one to start with: a hotel corridor, a list of entities, and a 93.0 per cent rating across 5.1M votes.
- Dandy’s World is the current heavyweight at 363,654 players, and its characters have genuinely different jobs, so a group divides roles rather than duplicating them.
- 99 Nights in the Forest rewards a group that splits up: someone chops, someone cooks, someone keeps the fire alive.
- Evade is the lightest of the four and the most forgiving of a friend who panics, since reviving is constant rather than occasional.
Dandy’s World is worth a note on group size. Servers hold 35, but the game plays best with a group of four to eight inside a larger server, because the mechanics are built around covering for each other rather than crowd control.
If you want one friend to be the villain
Asymmetric games put one player against the rest, and they are the funniest category on this list precisely because the villain is somebody you know. They also need the most people, which is the catch.
- Forsaken needs 9 for a full round, so it works when your group is part of a public server rather than alone.
- Flee the Facility is exactly five, which makes it the best fit for a group of four plus one stranger, or five friends exactly.
- Murder Mystery 2 needs six or more and has run since 2014, with 31.0B visits to show for it.
- BedWars flips it into team against team, which suits a squad of four who would rather gang up than turn on each other.
A practical tip for all of these: join one server together rather than queueing separately. In Roblox that means one person starts the game, then the rest use the join option on that player’s profile. Doing it the other way round scatters a group across several servers and wastes the first ten minutes.
What rules out a game for a group
It is worth being clear about which popular experiences do not belong on a list like this, because the charts are full of them and a group that picks one ends up playing alongside each other rather than together. Three patterns give it away.
- Simulators and tycoons are built around a number going up on your own save, so your friends are scenery; they can be in the server and it changes nothing.
- Obbies are single-player puzzles in a shared space, with the exception of the two-player ones that explicitly need a partner to hold a platform.
- Anything with a long unlock curve punishes the friend who joined late, which is the fastest way to lose a player for the evening.
- Competitive ranked modes split a group across teams and turn a social evening into an argument.
The twelve here were picked against that test: in every one, a second player changes what the first player can do. Flee the Facility will not start without five. Build A Boat is a different game with a second builder. DOORS is survivable alone and far better with someone watching behind you. That is the dividing line, and it matters more than genre.
It is a narrow slice of the catalogue. Roblox hosts tens of millions of user-made experiences, as the platform’s own history sets out, and the overwhelming majority were built by one person for one person to play. Genuinely co-operative design is the exception, which is why the same dozen names keep coming up whenever a group asks.
Server size is the other filter. A game capped at 9 players like Forsaken cannot hold a group of twelve, while Brookhaven at 30 and Tower Defense Simulator at 50 comfortably can. Check the cap before you promise everyone a session, not after.
How to actually get everyone into the same server
The joining part defeats more group sessions than the games do. Roblox does not have a lobby system in the way most multiplayer games do, so the reliable method is to follow one person in.
- Agree who is hosting, and have that person join the game first.
- Everyone else opens the host’s profile from their friends list.
- Tap or click Join on that profile.
- If the join option is greyed out, the host should check Who can join me in their privacy settings and set it to Friends.
- If the server is full, the host leaves and rejoins to land in a new one, then everyone follows again.
- Add each other as friends first, because following only works between friends.
- Use a separate voice call rather than in-game chat, which is filtered heavily and slow to type into.
- Check the age settings if a friend cannot see the join button at all, since Roblox’s parental controls can restrict who a younger account connects with.
- Pick a game with a high player count if the group is large, because small games run out of servers with space.
Free codes are worth a look before a session, since several of these games hand out currency or cosmetics that make a first hour less grindy. We keep running lists for the ones that use them, including Dandy’s World codes and 99 Nights in the Forest codes.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best Roblox game for two players?
Build A Boat For Treasure, because one boat genuinely takes two people and the server cap of 7 means a pair is never outnumbered. 3008 also works well as a pair if you would rather build a base than race.
Which Roblox game is best for a big group?
Brookhaven RP, which holds 30 players in a server and has no objective to balance. For a large group that wants a game rather than a hangout, Tower Defense Simulator takes 50 and splits the map between players.
How do I join a friend’s Roblox game?
Open their profile from your friends list and choose Join. You have to be friends, and their privacy setting for who can join them has to allow it. If the server is full, ask them to rejoin so a fresh one opens up, then follow them in.
Are these games free?
All twelve are free to enter. Several sell optional passes, cosmetics or in-game currency for Robux, and none of them require a purchase to play with friends. Private servers, where you want a session with nobody else in it, are the one thing that usually costs money.
