Retro Tower Defense is a tower defense game built out of old Roblox. The enemies are noobs, the maps are Crossroads and Doomspire, the towers are the classic avatars, and the currency is Tix, which the platform itself retired in 2016.

Tix buys towers between rounds and the rarer skins for characters like c00lkidd and 1x1x1x1 come from summons. Retro Tower Defense codes pay Tix, and this page lists every code that currently works.

All Working Retro Tower Defense Codes

  • FREETIX: 100 Tix
  • NEW: 100 Tix
  • V3RT: 100 Tix and a little EXP
  • RETRO: 50 Tix
  • TELAMON: 50 Tix
  • DUSEKKAR: 50 Tix
  • 1X1X1X1: 50 Tix
  • BLOXXER: 50 Tix
  • JOHNDOE: 50 Tix
  • GULLIBLE: 1 Revive

Three of these are printed in the game description itself, so they are the safest bets on the list; the rest are the permanent batch named after classic Roblox accounts.

Expired Retro Tower Defense Codes

50KVISITS, 35KVISITS, 30KVISITS, 500LIKES, 200LIKES, 200FAVS, 4MIL, c00l, EASTER, KAWAII, MARCH, MONEYZ, MOSSY, NINJA, RTDX, TRADING, TRAFFIC, YORICK

Seasonal codes are the ones that die here. The permanent set named after old Roblox accounts has stayed live since launch, while every holiday and update code was retired once its event ended.

How to Redeem Retro Tower Defense Codes

  1. Open Retro Tower Defense from the Roblox app and wait for the lobby to load.
  2. Press the Inventory button on the left edge of the screen.
  3. Press the blue gift icon next to the red close button at the top of the Owned Towers window.
  4. Type or paste a code into the Enter code here box.
  5. Press the blue Redeem button. Tix is added to the balance in the top corner immediately.

The code box hides inside the Inventory window rather than under a Codes button of its own, which is why it is the step players miss.

What 50 Tix Is Worth

Tix is the currency for buying towers between rounds, so the whole list combined is a head start on the first few placements rather than a rare unlock.

The one non-currency code pays a Revive, which returns you to a run you have lost. It is the only consumable in the list and the one worth saving for Hard or Endless.

Where to Find New Retro Tower Defense Codes

Plaything Games prints its evergreen codes in the game description, and announces the seasonal ones in the game announcements channel of the Retro TD Community Discord server.

The Roblox community page carries the same update notes, and liking the game page matters because several of the retired codes were like milestones.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many Retro Tower Defense codes are working right now?

The working list near the top of this page is the current one. The permanent set has been stable since launch, and the moving part is the seasonal code that each event adds and then retires.

Which Retro Tower Defense codes are in the game description?

The developer prints its starter codes at the foot of the game description on Roblox. Start with those, because they are published by the studio itself rather than passed around.

Do Retro Tower Defense codes expire?

Seasonal ones do, usually when the event they belong to ends. The codes named after classic Roblox accounts have not been retired since the game launched in May 2025.

Are Retro Tower Defense codes case sensitive?

Yes. The permanent codes are upper case and the one retired code written in lower case was lower case for a reason, so type each code exactly as it appears in the list.
