Jeff Bezos net worth stood at $368.1 billion on 24 October 2026 on Forbes’s real-time reading, second in the world. Amazon stock accounts for about $218 billion of that and Blue Origin, which Forbes estimates at $130 billion, for most of the rest.

The Amazon portion is a calculation anyone can repeat: shares from an SEC filing multiplied by a closing price. The rest depends on what a private company is judged to be worth. The table below lists every holding with its evidence, then each is explained, followed by the divorce proxy, a 10 percent price move, the stock sales and the giving. This is general information, not financial advice.

Jeff Bezos Net Worth Today: $368.1 Billion and Where It Comes From

Jeff Bezos is worth $368.1 billion on Forbes’s real-time list as of 24 October 2026. Shares in Amazon, which he founded in 1994, are $218.1 billion of it. Blue Origin at $130 billion is the second-largest line, leaving about $20 billion for cash, the Post, investments and property.

Forbes ranks him second today. On its annual 2026 billionaires list he was fourth, and Forbes reported on 9 September 2026 that Michael Dell passed him. See the richest people in the world for the full ranking.

The Six Holdings Explained, One at a Time

1. Amazon Stock: 879 Million Shares Held Directly

Image: Amazon

879,323,424 shares | $248.00 close on 23 October 2026 | $218.1 billion | about 8.2% of Amazon

Bezos’s latest Form 4, filed on 27 August 2026, reports 879,323,424 shares after two charitable gifts on 25 and 26 August. Amazon’s July 2026 quarterly report counts 10,786,313,572 shares outstanding, which puts the stake at about 8.2 percent.

Forbes lists him as owning 8 percent of Amazon. Amazon reports its third-quarter results on 29 October 2026, and the share price on that day is the largest single input to the total.

2. Blue Origin: A $130 Billion Private Rocket Company

Private | reported $10 billion round at a $130 billion pre-money valuation | Bezos put in a reported $2 billion

On 8 July 2026 the New York Times and CNBC reported Blue Origin’s first outside funding round: about $10 billion at a $130 billion valuation before the new money. CNBC named Coatue Management at about $4 billion and Bezos at $2 billion. Forbes’s profile uses the same $130 billion for the company.

Blue Origin files nothing public, so the number is a transaction price, not an audit. A New Glenn rocket was destroyed in a ground test in late May 2026, and the company says it will fly again by the end of the year.

3. Prometheus: An AI Start-Up With Undisclosed Equity

Co-CEO since November 2025 | $6.2 billion first funding | stake not published

Bezos became co-CEO of Project Prometheus in November 2025, his first operating role since leaving the Amazon chief executive job in 2021, and funded part of its $6.2 billion launch. A headline in June 2026 reported a $12 billion round at about $41 billion.

His percentage has not been published, so this guide carries no dollar value for it.

4. The Washington Post: $250 Million in Cash in 2013

Image: U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (The Washington Post Company Form 8-K, 5 August 2013)

$250 million | signed 5 August 2013 | closed 1 October 2013 | buyer: Nash Holdings LLC

The Washington Post Company told the SEC that Nash Holdings would pay $250 million in cash for its newspaper publishing businesses. The purchaser was an entity belonging to Bezos personally, not Amazon.

This is the one asset with a documented price, and it is small: $250 million is 0.07 percent of $368.1 billion. Forbes’s profile says he owns the Post and gives no separate value.

5. Bezos Expeditions: A Venture Portfolio Without Values

31 listed companies | values not disclosed | also funds the 10,000 Year Clock

The Bezos Expeditions website lists selected investments including Airbnb, Uber, Workday, Perplexity and Anduril. It also links the 10,000 Year Clock, a mechanical clock being built inside a mountain in the Sierra Diablo range, shown above.

Forbes’s profile notes that he was an early Google angel investor with an estimated $250,000. None of these stakes is priced in a filing Bezos controls.

6. Real Estate: About $402 Million at Reported Prices

$165 million Beverly Hills estate | $68 million, $79 million and $90 million Florida homes

NBC News reported on 13 February 2020 that he paid $165 million for a 9.4-acre Beverly Hills estate that David Geffen bought for $47.5 million in 1990. Business Insider reported on 2 April 2024, citing Bloomberg, three Indian Creek, Florida purchases of $68 million, $79 million and $90 million.

Added together, $165 million and $237 million make $402 million, about 0.1 percent of the total. Those are prices paid, not current appraisals.

How the Total Is Calculated and Why Two Totals Can Differ by $130 Billion

The Amazon line is shares times price: 879,323,424 times $248.00 is $218.1 billion. That figure moves every trading second and is the only line that does. Amazon’s cloud and data center business, shown above, is what the stock price is pricing.

Everything else is a judgment. Blue Origin at the $130 billion round price adds $130 billion, while the same company carried at what Bezos has paid in would add far less. The choice alone moves a total by up to 35 percent of $368.1 billion.

Cash is the quiet line. Gross proceeds from his Form 4 sales since 2017 add up to about $44.7 billion, but Blue Origin, taxes and gifts took much of it, and nobody publishes the balance. The $20 billion left after Amazon and Blue Origin is the arithmetic for all of it.

What the 2019 Divorce Did to Bezos’s Amazon Share Count

On 4 April 2019 Amazon told the SEC that shares equal to about 4.0 percent of the company would be registered in MacKenzie Bezos’s name as separate property. Bezos kept sole voting authority over them under a voting agreement and proxy.

His annual ownership filings show the effect. At 31 December 2018 he reported 78,818,217 shares, 16.1 percent. At 31 December 2019 he reported 77,049,423 shares of voting power, but only 57,551,216 of dispositive power, with 19,498,207 under the proxy. Counted before the 2022 20-for-1 split, that is about a quarter of his 2018 total.

The proxy shrinks as she sells or gives shares away, because shares she sells, or gives to a charity that intends to sell them, leave the agreement. It covered 81,082,131 shares at 30 September 2025 and 68,232,131 at 24 February 2026. The 2026 proxy statement therefore shows 950,434,581 shares and 8.8 percent, while the 882,202,450 he owns outright is 8.2 percent. Net-worth lists count only the shares he owns.

What a 10 Percent Move in Amazon Does to His Net Worth

A 10 percent fall in Amazon takes the price from $248.00 to $223.20 and removes $21.8 billion, cutting the $368.1 billion total to $346.3 billion. A 10 percent rise lifts it to $389.9 billion. Because Amazon is 59 percent of the total, a 10 percent move in the stock is a 5.9 percent move in his worth.

Real days are smaller. Amazon closed at $262.37 on 21 October and $250.38 on 22 October 2026, a 4.6 percent drop worth about $10.5 billion to him. Over the week to 23 October the stock fell 5.5 percent, or $12.7 billion.

The same 10 percent move in Blue Origin’s valuation is $13 billion, but nobody prices it daily.

How Much Amazon Stock Bezos Has Sold, and What It Raised

His Form 4 filings since 2017 show sales of about $44.7 billion in gross proceeds. Most of that came in three bursts: $10.2 billion in 2020, $10.0 billion in 2021 and $13.6 billion in 2024. In 2025 he sold 25,000,000 shares for $5.7 billion.

Since February 2024 he has sold 101,209,649 shares for about $19.6 billion, each time under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted months earlier. The plans were adopted on 8 November 2023, 2 March 2024, 4 March 2025 and 14 November 2025.

The newest plan allows up to 15,000,000 shares until 26 February 2027. He sold 1,209,649 at a weighted $286.41 on 3 August 2026, raising $346 million, which leaves up to 13,790,351 shares, worth $3.4 billion at today’s price. Each sale is reported on a Form 4 filed with the SEC.

The Bezos Earth Fund began in 2020 with a $10 billion commitment. Its website reports $2.4 billion granted so far across 371 grants and seven programs as of 24 October 2026. The fund’s December 2021 announcement alone covered 44 grants totaling $443 million. Its program pages list the grants by area.

The Day One Fund was announced on 13 September 2018 with $2 billion for homeless families and preschools. Its 2025 Day 1 Families Fund awards were $102.5 million to 32 organizations.

Gifts of stock appear in his filings. Form 4 entries from 2023 to August 2026 show 12,100,616 shares contributed to nonprofits, about $3.0 billion at the 23 October price. Our list of the largest charitable donations in history puts that in context.
